Howdy Fink,

Thanks for the screenshot. It will help me explain to you and the others how the Gold Card works.

In the screenshot, you see the Gold Card over the dealer. Everyone who's watching this table will see the Gold Card. However, the player who's won the Gold Card is the player with the Gold rim around their player details (in your case, it was player RockyDog who won that Gold Card.

Thank you for the help in displaying this and I hope it helps everyone else out a little in understanding a bit more about the Gold Cards.

Doug

Hi, I also have a question or more a complaint. The raise bar is awfully close to the 'Fold to any bet' button. This can sometimes result in a wrong decision mainly because I want to act to fast (browsing the net, playing on other sites, it's difficult).

Will this be changed in the future? Or can you at least pass it on to the tech guys.

Thanks,

Kaart

Since it seems to be the "Cake" hour here at THF I have a question as well. What is your companies views on the recent legislation here in the U.S. regarding on-line gaming laws?

Basically, what I'm asking is does your company have any intentions of shying away from US based customers in order to avoid any legal ramifications?

Hi Kaart,

I'm a bit of a UI guy myself. The FTAB button is always present when players have hole cards. I'm comfortable with it's position, but what would you say to a Verify pop-up if you click on the button during your turn?

Good question BSQUAD.

I'm very curious to hear about this as well.

No no Doug, that's not what I meant. The FTAB is just fine, nothing wrong with that.

Let me explain what happened: I have AJ, flop comes J32. One guy bets, I want to raise and just like on Pokerstars I click a couple of times on the raise bar. Suddenly my cards dissapear and I go wtc. Turns out I accidently pressed the FTAB button because it is so close to the raise bar.

I know it will happen again. Is there any chance the FTAB button and the raise bar can be separated a little more. It's exhausting to be so accurate every time I want to raise.

Great site btw, you only need more women avatars.

Hi K,

Thanks for the complement. I have a special lady in the avatars, so y'all mind what you say about them. =)

I understood you issue and my question is:

If click the FTAB button when it's your turn (when the raise bar is up) you get a prompt that says:
"Are you sure you want to Fold this hand?" YES/NO/YES AND DON"T ASK ME AGAIN

I don't have the real estate to move the bar far enough that it would be of use. So would the above help?

CakeManager the prompt would be a great idea if moving the button isn't a viable solution!

Sigh...who's got some popcorn?

Being a Republican from the farm country of the Midwest, I've never been more angry at my damn party for backing this malarkey. Funding terrorism my hairy...

On a professional level, CakePoker stands by fact that our company operates within the laws of the country we're located, Curacao. We ask that everyone abide by the laws of the areas they reside, but we're taking no steps to block any country from participating on Cake (save Iran, North Korea, etc).

Cake is a poker site, pure and simple. Players wager against each other and Cake charges a rake for the transaction only. Me personally, I wouldn't play any game online that has the computer deciding the winner when the company makes money from the player losing. My background is in video game design. The only reason I agreed to design Cake is because it's very similar to the world I know very well: Multiplayer Games.

Sorry, getting off topic here. Poker is a social game and has done more to bring more people together for fun than any other game in the past 10 years. The fact that it's getting lumped in with this legal wrangling really irks me. If horse racing is still legal...poker definately needs to stay..but...I'm biased.
