So, I'm playing at Bugsy's, when I get an admin message. Yes, they happen on all sites - that wasn't surprising. It's what the message was for:

Why the hell would you want to buy BBPs? You can't use them to buy any sort of perk (like the PS FPPs), all you can do is convert them to real money (100 bbp = $1). They're essentially setting up a playchip buy/sell system here, it's ridiculous!

Can you use the points to buy into special tournaments?

Yes, but you wouldn't want to buy in to those. BBP tourneys are the unofficial home of the Global Society of Retards. If you survive the mania long enough, you win BBPs which you can use, to er, well to convert to cash. You're more likely to profit by spending the money directly in the first place.
