9/15/08 began the official day 1 of the $5k in 350 days. The $50 deposit was in August, but I quickly realized that with just $50 it would be a struggle, so I was willing to take some chances. Up, down, in the middle, I decided to end the chance taking with a $100 balance, a respectable starting point.

Primarily it will be full ring limit Hold em. The OPR website showed me that as far as NL Hold em MTT's go I am not proficient. In fact the word that comes to mind is uhhhh.....hmmmm............

back on 8/18 I deposited $50 with the express intent of turning it into $5k for a full time bankroll in 1 year's time. $4k would do it also but having an extra grand would be a nice buffer. Figuring out some profit projections I figured it would take 4 hour per day starting out at .10/.20 to do it with an earn rate of 1.5 big bets per hour.

I decided that was a bit too much of a grind and a more aggressive approach was in order and playing maybe 3 hours a night would be good. Step...

Playing .25/.50 now pretty much exclusively and it has been going very well. Choosing tables that have high pot amounts and high flop percentages. My tight approach to Holdem seems to fit me to this type of table to a tee and although I lose a few pots here and there along with the bad beats to be expected, the pots I turn around and win are of a decent size. This entry is going to be short as i need to get to sleep, but 4 days of 365 have passed with 361 to go. I am stopping the $3 Stud tourneys...

Some of you reading this already know me through the online poker world. Those same people have seen my trials and tribulations of the last few years. Those that are new, well the basic wrap-up is that over the last four years my poker career has been stuck in neutral. I have been a consistent winner, but due to financial needs on the home front, money earned from poker went there.
