Break...kinda

Posted 09-18-2007 at 08:14 PM by rw11687
I have been in a bad way lately. No hands will hold up no matter what, and everyone seems to want to call every bet, and then they catch. I know I know, happens to everyone, thats why I'm taking a break from cash games. I am still up $700 for the month, and I want to protect that.

So I am only playing freerolls and small buy-in tourneys with money I won from a freeroll last night. I will do this till at LEAST sunday, but if I still feel like I need to break and get my game together again, I will.

I feel like I need to do this because I tend to let the bad beats affect my game. If it doesnt actually affect my game, I overthink my play when I take a bad beat and then THAT affects my game. Its a vicious cycle.

So I may update you all if I hit any big wins or go deep in a freeroll, but I will be on a break for a bit.

Oh yeah, with the help of 7 i took 2nd in a 4900 person freeroll on AP, and won $18.

I have found that a break is always helpful. It tends to give you a better feel of the game. I think I need a years break
