Ring Games

Posted 09-06-2007 at 07:02 PM by CalifNaughti
Well..I played a few SnG's yesterday and didnt fair too well, I came in 3rd on one of them. Then later I played in a 12/180 and came in 18th..so I am happy! I am registered to play in a $2k freeroll this evening that pays out quite a few places. Its limited to 2000 players and has about 660 registered. If I win I am going to add this cash to my BR and put towards the tix.

Although I have class tonihgt something was mentioned about tonihgts class being held somewhere else..I have to check into it and may have to ask someone to play for me.

Lately I have been asked about ring games. I was thinking this could be a way to add to my BR alot faster than SnG's and MTT's. rw made a fast 500 yesterday..which started me thinking. Should i? Could I? I dont know..Im kinda inexperianced in that dept. Should I try?

YES. In ring games, money comes in more steadily than in tourneys. You can play great for 2 hours in a tourney and not make a dime. Blinds go up and if you go card dead at a bad moment, you could be forced to play a hand you dont really want to.

In ring games, aggression and discipline are rewarded. If you know your beat, get out, who cares how much you left in the pot. people fold a lot more to continuation bets and aggressive betting. I think your game is fit to succeed in ring games.
