IronMan Day 3

Posted 01-05-2008 at 02:50 AM by Adaon
Day three was met with some success. Sadly I went out on the bubble in a MTT that would have made it a very good day. Still I netted a small profit at the cash tables.

At my peek I was playing 3 tables at once, I don't like to do much more then that. I also like to avoid short handed tables, I'm looking for games with 8-9 players so I can stick to a tighter strategy myself. Also the more players means it is more likely for 2 or more people to have a good hand and go to war, this...

IronMan, Day2

Posted 01-04-2008 at 04:25 AM by Adaon
Today marked my second day trying to put up the points for full tilt's ironman challenge. Let me say first of all, this is NOT as easy as I thought it would be, and I probably thought it was harder then you do. To put that more simply, this is going to be difficult to pull out.

Let me address the comments I got last time (and I will do so for anyone else that wants to ask me something). DJ asked why don't I try something a little higher then the 50 point level. It's a fair question,...

IronMan, Day1

No not the triathlon. Full tilt runs a bonus program called the iron man, the short explanation is that by earning enough bonus points (from playing) per day for so many days in a row, you get a bonus, and the better you do the more the bonus.

There are many levels to the iron man, and I'll be trying for the low end my first time out. The "Silver" level is 25 days at 50 points, and today will be day 1 for me. Doing this will earn me 40 medals. That won't earn me any...

Stud 8/b

Posted 09-11-2007 at 04:59 AM by Adaon
When I play right, this is probably my best game. Well, probably is an understatement. I have won 5 buy in tournaments of stud 8/b, I think I've won 3 for hold'em, and the hold'em were smaller fields.

I like Stud8, it's probably the most technical game of any "major" for of poker. Like Omaha 8/b many people make the mistake of only playing for half the pot, even when they won't win it.

Your best situation is when you get the unexpected (for the other...

Trying out the new blog.

Posted 09-04-2007 at 04:45 PM by Adaon
Well, someone had to do it.

Having written on poker bankroll management before, let me take a few moments to write about finical management in general.

I go to the school of thought that says debt is bad. One of the reasons I believe this is the evidence of first generation millionaires. They tend to buy things in cash, like: used cars. The income they get from working isn't tied up in payments, instead they have plenty of cash in savings. I have yet to hear a millionaire...
