I took a hit a couple of days ago at PokerRoom and ended up dropping $100 for the day. Seemed like everything that could go wrong, did go wrong. Since my deposit of $500 there and the clearance of $60 in bonus I am down $90. At Poker Stars where I made a $350 deposit I am up $42 so I was able to make a bit of a recoup.
Apparently there is some issues between PokerRoom and Poker Tracker. The henads load and whatnot, but I found out early on they are not accurate. I have seen reference made to this in some of the forums, so as far as sheer numbers any I would report for PokerRoom would not be accurate. Of the numbers I have been able to grab I find I am getting killed with AKo. To the tune of -$43 with that hand. Yet AQo is a decent winner. Sometimes this game makes no sense. I have only played a couple hundred hands at Poker Stars so far. Damn the bonus clears fast there. I wish they offered them more.

The week has basically come to an end although I may get some more hands played before today ends as I am going into work a couple hours later than usual. Been chasing down the PokerRoom bonus. Cleared $60 and am working on a $250 bonus there. Still have 1256 points to go before I clear the $250. I earn a bare mininum of 100 points a day and as much as 200. It will be cleared within 2 weeks and possibly as soon as a week. Poker Stars is offering a 20% reload and I will be depositing $250 or $300 there either later today or tomorrow. After clearing all of this I will then be heading over to UB to clear what I have there unless Absolute offers something in the meantime.
Earned about $85 playing the limit games of $1/$2. I am still kicking myself about trying to make the move to NL and losing $65 in the process. What was I thinking. Limit is my game, my zone. I know by now you do not mess around with what is your obvious strength. I shall not repeat this mistake again.
Bankroll $1163.16

I’d rather not say, but I’m going to. I have been doing horribly today, lost everything but my points. I do, however, have 4 more buy-ins, so I’m going to have to buy-in later.

It sucks, this tilt - and my game hasn’t been up to par, either. I’m thinking some adjustments on my game, but not sure where to start on adjusting.

How is everyone else getting along? I’m curious to find out!

Well, I think I found my strategy. I started with my first buck on .02/.04 limit on PokerStars. Got my ass handed to me. Down to .33. I decided to change strategy and try one of the $1+.20 45 man NLHE SNG’s. Cashed in 3rd for $7. Total Bankroll was then $7.13. Next day, 2 more NLHE’s and an Omaha Hi/Lo (that was a friggin mistake!) Cashed in 2nd (for $10) in one of the NLHE, bubbled in the other. Bankroll was then $13.53. Just finished another one today, cashed in 3rd for another $7, moves me up to $19.33 (with 3 $1 rebuys left). These seem to come pretty easily to me right now, so I guess I’ll stick with them for a little while longer until I have enough roll to start playing some decent ring games. Wonder where everyone else is at on it? Wouldn’t mind seeing how am I sitting compared to the field.

Today I didn’t fare quite as well… lost 2 $1.25 SNG’s, and then a $1.75 Stud Hi/Lo SNG. So, bankroll was down to $15.18. Still felt like I was playing well, so I decided to reduce the number of players I had to go through and played a $5.50 STT. Cashed in 3rd for $9. Was hurting bad and needed to double up when I played a hand a little unorthodox. With Aces I limped UTG, and the agressive guy behind me makes a 4x raise… so of course I move in, he calls and shows AQs. My Aces hold, and I double up. Got aces in the BB about 5 minutes later when the shortstack pushed… I instacall and they hold. Long story short… bankroll is now $24.18 I guess not too bad overall… still profited.
10/10/06… Took an ass whoopin’ last night. -$3.60 for the night. Thought at first I was playing well, but a little unfortunate. Flopped a set and got outdrawn. Couldn’t see him raising the turn on the come… heart hits on the river. Was too late, and at least it wasn’t a huge amount to lose. Final hand was pocket Kings cracked by AQs. At least he had a hand. Bankroll is $20.58 with 3 rebuys left.
10/11/06… Got the groove back tonight. another 45 man $1.20 SNG. 2nd place for $10. Bankroll is $29.38 with 3 rebuys behind it.

This is the beginning of the end of week #3 for me. I’m invariably cutting losses left and right, and tilting way too many times to handle.
Tilt
What’s the meaning of this, anyway?!
I lost a considerable amount of money, but after winning my VERY FIRST sit and go with my last $5, things are heading up and up for me. I now have $25 in my account, and slowly but surely I’m gaining my funds all back.
What happened? I lost my game. It seems when I’m distracted, I lose. When I play like I mean it, I win. and win and win. It’s really amazing.
Has anyone ever thought about when they win? What days of the week, what times of the day?
I have found that thursday through sunday are my good days to play, and at night.
Late night, especially. I’m going to have to take that into consideration when I play.
Game on!~
