Default I felt so bad...

You cannot imagine how bad I felt last night in the Sit & Go tournament I was in...
I was on the big blind and got 4 6 of clubs... Thought this was an horrible hand but there was no raise so i check and saw the flop.
It came : Q 9 5 of clubs.
Now I was happy I got the flush on the flop. Some guy raised, I reraised, he raised all in... Then I thought that he must have a better flush than mine, but I decided to call anyways.
We flip the cards : He's got AK of clubs.
Then I thought how bad my move was that I was already done.
Turn came: 8 of clubs.
River came : 7 of clubs.
So I made a runner runner straight flush to beat this guy that had a AKQ98 flush. I felt so bad!!
I would have given him his money back, but he was out of tournament!

Now that is what I call nice drawing...you were on the BB...so you had to enter.
The all-in call was a tough decision...but you had a flush..your opponent could have been betting a set..you don't know for sure that he also had a flush. However your re-raise and then his all-in sure looked like a flush.

Nice play and call and nothing to feel sorry about!

It always seems that small connecting cards bring in the most money when the pot gets big. I have had plenty of luck with 4/7 in the big blind while up against an overpair. Nothing to feel too sorry about...thats just poker.

I would have played it the same way you did man. Don't feel bad. You were probably joking about giving the money back, but never do this! People will make bad beats against you and you can guarantee you won't be seeing that money ever again lol.

You know, you can say that was a bad play on your behalf, but I don't thing many players would have dumped that hand off. Everyone posts their horrible beats here, and that is definitely one for the other player. The thing is, don't feel bad, unless possibly its your best friend that you beat. Nice hand, you got VERY lucky. Don't expect that hands like that will happen often. The last time I hit a straight flush was months ago (I flopped it and someone hit the ace high flush, lol).

You know, I totally understand you feeling bad because I'm the same way. I think this is why I'll never be able to play poker for real serious money until I shake this. The mentality of someone who is more than just a casual player has to be that of a cold-hearted money-grubbing card machine who doesn't care if he lays the worst beat of all time on someone. I just can't bring myself to_not_feel bad when I lay one of those beats on someone.

Just be happy and put it in the good things that happened to me column, cause you know you will be the victum of a bad beat soon enough. Things always even out in the end.
