Question Can anyone tell me the difference between the two?

Well...I've been playing poker for the past 2-3 months already....
And I am lovin' it...

But then again, what's the best strategy or technique to do when you are already playing online poker? 'cause a friend of mine said that playing online is quite complicated....well that's what he told me...

Can anyone please explain? please...

Not a big difference really, you just learn to play your cards. Some say it is more difficult than live poker because of the lack of tells. But online you can find many tells if you pay close attention. Getting a good read on your opponent will be hard when you just start playing but after a while it will get easier to categorize your opponents.

I think reading opponents hands are not about tells. It's all about his betting patterns.you can learn a lot of thing from his playing style.calling pots percentage gives you a tip that if he is aggressive or tight player. The answer contains like this details.there is so much detail in this game. And will learn this details.
Regards...

Online dont be tempted to play marginal hands in early position. Patience and disipline is most important as about 80 hands per hour compared to 30 in a casino.THere is no luck without DISIPLINE. GL from OMG_an_OZI.

I've never played live... So I can't help you much with the comparison. But I've always heard ABC poker makes the money in the long run. Trust your instincts.

Hi Vicky_Sandra
You can make your poker playing easier online by using tools like poker office provids, with it you can follow multiple tables and players, in this way you can learn the way of playing of each player

online is faster and much more convenient (no need to drive to the casino...). it is generally agreed that online is tougher, so you learn more & faster online. there are less tells online obviously, but then you have access to more analytical tools to study the game.
