I know this is a thread I started myself, but I found some kind of an answer while surfing the Web.
The following link will lead you to the top pre-flop hands when playing at with 9 other players (total = 10 players). I guess the percentage must change when there are 9 or 8 or less players but the rank shouldn't.
Personnaly I va been surprised by some ranking...
First I thought the worst hand was 2 7 off suit, but it says it is 2 3 off suit.
Second, I didn't expect a hand like K 10 off suit to be so low... I mean it couls give two decent pair... But, mathematics is an exact science... Now that I know the odds, I might become a better player!

I hate hands like QJ, K 10, etc... for a simple reason, even mediocre hands like A 7 or KJ have it completely wrecked. They are what Doyle "Texas Dolly" calls the "Trouble Hands" because they appear to be so high and mighty, but will rarely win you a huge pot (unless a perfect straight comes up, and your opponent gets no part of it.)

*(If they are suited, however, I play them like I would any other suited connecter. Try to see a flop for a low price and move on from there.)*

Default dont mean to offend you or insult your play but...

"JT suited is the best hand there is... at least in my mind. Hands like 10 8 suited, whichi is my lucky hand, and 98s, 97s... etc can deceive your opponents because they will not expect them. I call raises preflop with these types of hands, especially when blinds are small compared to your stack, since you're often up against hands like AK and AQ. The raiser will try to defend his raise preflop if say 10 8 4 rainbow comes off. If you have a hand like 10 8 there, wait for the raise. They will likely be frustrated they didnt hit their big cards preflop, and often they will be tempted to call your check raise. Good luck!!

btw, everyone knows AA is a good hand so i didnt mention it:-) "

no offince but raising on those hands its not very smart. sure maybe you'll get lucky hit two pair or stright but with pair of 9's and any higher cards on river you most defidnetly beat. i advise that you dont follow that advice. it may work for him (i doubt it) but it wont work for you.

That is basically taking my strategy posted above a bit too far. It has the right ideas, but just takes out of the realm of real possibility.
