I believe so because this build your skill and you learn how most people play you also kind of get the feel of getting reads on people and learning all peoples play styles

its a good way to start but not the best in my opinion
its good getting some experience under your belt but even for tournaments, freerolls are notoriously loose as people dont care because they didnt buy in

playing with buddies is a good way - as you could be up against anything, plus its always a laugh

i still think people should bit the bullet and at least make a small deposit so that they can play at the 1 cent tables or more if possible. Its difficult to learn the game if your playing play money/freerolls etc as people arent doing what theyd normally be doing if they had paid - some are and take it seriously, but so many just go all in with trash and dont care because they havent paid anything

when youve got your own cash out on the table up for grabs and not play money - then youll see what pokers all about

I believe your question was directed to the money aspect. i'm going to attempt refrasing your question as I interrpreted it. "Should I play in freerolls for a chance to win real money then move on to real money games, or should I just make the deposit, and move on to real money games" Although it's free to play in freerolls it is very time consuming, and your odds of winning are not very good. But it can be done however It would be much easier if you just put up the money yourself and gave it a shot at a low limit table, or low money tournaments. I personally like playing in tournaments cause the most you can lose is the cost of the buy in. GL : )

Default Freerolls

Freerolls are generally a waste of time. Your better off plunking a few bucks down the value is much more worth it. in freerolls your expected to be top 9 out of 6000, then top 5 out of the hundreds, the odds are very very slim.
