Default LIMIT RING GAMES bankroll saver

Let me explain the beauty of limit. I found that nearly 80% of limit players play the game wrong, Limit Holdem consists of two main aspects
the most important aspect being POSITION! and basic math.

Position is by far the most important aspect in limit. And many players do not undertand the importance of it. Let me explain situations to you that will IMMEDIATELY improve your bank roll at the limit tables (especially ring games). First, on the flop you must be AGGRESSIVE. If you have a drawing hand you probably currently check and call -this is what you SHOULD do if u are first or second to act (see as many free cards as you can) HOWEVER, (and im going to put this in big letters cause this is truly a limit secret not used enough) .. IF SOMEONE BETS OUT IN FRONT OF YOU, YOU SHOULD RAISE! (especially if you are last to act or second to last to act) What this does... gives you a free card on the turn. if you are playing a 5/10 game you get to see if u hit ur flush/straight draw to the river for $10 instead of $15 and really makes poker so much easier.

1 extra free tip--if u are holding mid pair and are unsure if it is good call on flop, if u dont improve on the turn and he bets i would fold, although most of the time he will get scared and check, this is the time where u should bet (if he reraises u though u must fold right there as he was trappin you) OTHERWISE----he will then check to u at the river and if u dont improve on the river just check.

I prefer to play No Limit and am quite accomplished (have over $500 in a few sites and $1700 at absolute, but when i really want to improve my bankroll i play the limit ring games becasue people play it all wrong)

I prefer limit also, but not hold'em Omaha H/L limit Tons of people play the game very loosely and get their hand trapped by playing weak hands preflop like 2 mid double suited sets. Like 6,8,10,5 DS. And the swings aren't that bad, the worst that usually happens is your low hand gets counterfeited by the card hitting the board.

Thanks for the tips. I don't play much limit, but when I do I know I play it wrong. Maybe this will help me a bit. Thanks.

YYN4E1 Thank you for the tips they are working beautifully for me. I have been playing limit 1/2 a bit at poker4ever to get my rake points for the days rake point tourney's. I have been reading what i can about playing position, and would appreciate if anyone can tell me good reading on limit and position.

Some other good advice, follow the starting hand charts I posted and then buy "Small Stakes Hold'em" by Ed Miller, Sklansky and Mallmuth and you should destroy small stakes ring games.

Tight aggressive is the way at these games. Rarely cold call raises preflop and don't get mixed up in multiway pots when you're not suited.

Aggression is key, I played 205 hands tonight, only played 7.32% of my hands due to being cold carded but my aggression factor was 6.00!

Ggggrrrrr
