Hmm, its very hard to get much info here. He could have called preflop with any PP, KQ, KJ, QJ, maybe even KTs. I mean, he has position on you and can call with a wide variety of hands. If I am in your position, I put out a 1/2 pot bet to gain information. If he calls, then you have a better idea that he may have an Ace or something like JJ. By checking to him you gain no information. He has position and with your check, may be trying to represent an Ace.
But you really put yourself in a tough position. You have no more information now than you did when he called your bet. If you want to gain info in this situation, you have to re-raise and see what he does. But with your stack you would be quite low if he moves all in and you are forced to fold. With blinds at 15/30 though, you have some room to get back in it.
In summary, I would lead out on the flop to get some information. This is the cheapest way to get a good idea where you are at. |
