I would be the last person to give advice on poker. That being said I am going to just state my recent conclusion about poker playing.
There are so many books, theories, advice, odds, etc, the only thing I have definitely learned is
BE ADAPTABLE. You must be patient, confident, tilt free, but most importantly be adaptable. I believe there is an "old school" way of playing and I know how to play that. More recently there is whole nother way of playing and that was hard for me because I couldn't get my head out of the box. I am catching on and have learned to adjust my play according to the type of play or players at my table. It is working well for me. There is no right and wrong in poker or it wouldn't have the element of risk involved. Everytime I hear one of my poker player friends cry about a bad beat, It is because they are trying to play "old school poker" with the new breed of poker players. They expect the player to be on a certain hand and are shocked when they don't play or call a raise with a premium hand.
That is my story and I am sticking to it.
Does this ring a bell for anyone else or is it my medication talking..lol.
