Hey guys I am new here and this will be my first post. I read this thread and found the discussion pretty interesting. Frankly I play Lots and lots of Sit and Go Tournaments mostly in the 20 to 100 buy in range. Las time I checked I had played about 500 or so. Probably more but that was the closest I could come with. Ok anyway to the discussion. I actually agree with both view points myself. I think for me the decision is based on the pot odds and most importantly my read on the the short stack. Has he been solid and had some bad luck or is he a wildman that has been throwing chips around and got spanked. If I think he is solid I would lean towards folding because I do not want to give him the chance to get back in the game. If he is a psycho I would lean towards calling with any marginal hand. I am not going to call him with a 73 or something but any half decent Qx Kx or Ax . The other thing to consider is that even a solid player when he gets his back against the wall is going to make a move with any marginal hand if he is really short stacked. I am talking like 2 or 3 times the blinds. Of course what I am talking about is later in the game when the blinds go high where a short stack stealing some blinds can improve his stack by a third. I guess for me its basically a combination of my judgment of the player and the pot odds. I am not likely to fold my BB to someone doubling it unless the guy is a rock and I know he wouldn't make a move. Like Kenny siad" You got to know when to holdem and know when to foldem"

So there is my 2 cents worth on the subject. Also if you guys are interested in a good piece of Sit and Go software try Sit and Go Shark. I do not use it anymore but I did for about 6 months it really does a good job of giving you some basic advice on how to proceed. Doesn't sound like most of you guys need that but if you do or you just want confirmation that you are doing the right thing its a great tool. I have a link to it on my site here if you want to see where it works
