High suited connectors

whats your strategy on high suited connectors in early position?
lets say early to middle of a tourney, how would you play QJs or KQs from the first 2 seats?

Depends on my chip stack and the playing style of the table. If the table has been been limping preflop, I'll go ahead and limp myself, maybe even raise. However, if there has been a decent amount of preflop raising, I save myself some chips and just fold right there.

I'll double the blind with KQs(I just like this hand) and limp in with QJs. I like these hands because thier easy to fold if I don't hit the flop well.

I will fold Q-J suited unless im at an passive table, and with k-qs, I will usually make my standard raise for it, what ever the table standard raise is for. Back to q-js, its a very easily dominated hand, and most of the time you will be playing out of postion with it.

Exactly what k06mars said it all depends on how the table is playing. If there's been alot of limping I usually raise with big suited connectors. If you play good post flop, you should be able to take it down alot of the times.

Most of the books say to muck em, but under the right circumstance if you feel you can play them, I would say to always raise at least 3x to get out any mediocre hands. Fold to any re-raise, and if called play em like AK, when the flop hits with a continuation bet.
