Default Did I play this wrong?

1 hour into MTT. Average stack is 3,000. Pulled QsQh on the button with 5,200 stack. Everyone folds to me and I triple blinds(800). BB is table leader with 9,500 chips and calls me. This person has been playing very loose the whole game and I had been playing semi tight. Anyway flop is 3 low spades. e checks andI bet another 800 and he calls. next card jack diamonds. check and I bet 1600 and he calls. I'm putting him on some kind of draw (most likely flush draw) cause there is a straight draw after the fourth card. River is another low spade. I made my flush and he checks so I go all in. He flips over KJ spades. Tourney over. My question is should I have played this different?

Any help would be welcome.

P.S. been gone for a while but I'm back.

tough one id say you played it ok but if you put him on a flush draw hes only gonna call with an A all the way down so id check the river and as hard as it is fold to a bet and stay alive

I think where I got into trouble is I decided I was calling or betting unless i saw an A or K.

i dont like the all in on the river and here's why:

You said you were putting him on a flush draw, like yourself. Well, if he's on a flush draw the odds are that he probably is drawing to a king or ace high flush. I dont know many people who would chase a flush draw with a low flush card (except maybe kaart ). Here, if im thinking flush draw, which is what id be thinking, i would check the river, as odds are you're only getting called with K or A.

Plus before going all in, the pot is 6400 chips give or take a couple, for 2000 more with second nuts, I am definately calling there. Especially, since if he loses, he still has 4300 which is higher than the average stack.

ii hate to shoot 2 bullets and still get called...i wouldve bet about 800 after the flop which was a good play on your part and ur bet on the turn wasnt bad either you are in a bad spot now on the river and i wouldve def checked it down on the river...2000 isnt to bad an amt to have you still can manuver about and build your stack back up...anyways i cant fault the all in move but i smelled a slow play all the way while i was reading the hh..one

Default sound like you played it right

Sounds like you played it right until the river. If you put him on the draw then their is no since in going all in when the only caller youre going to get likely has you beat. I would definitely have paid him off if he bet but if he checked to you the safer play would be to just check. I m not sure who had position here. I see this a lot where people go all in on the end with a hand that will only be called by someone that can beat it. I think its just the fact that you don’t want to believe youre beat. So in my opinion if I was in position I would just ck it and If I were out of position I would likely ck it or make a bet that isn’t going to get me in trouble and see what the other player does. If he bets also consider the pot odds and any patterns you might have seen before this hand. I mean some guys love to move all in when they have marginal hands and then make small pay off bets when they have run you down. So in that case you would have to use your best judgment and look at the pot odds. I you get decent odds on the call then call. Ok that’s a lot of talking for me lol.
