Default Freeroll players- where do you find success?

I play mostly Jungle poker and Pitbull, and do reasonably well there. Small fields, tons of sitters, decent payout relative the field. Where do you play and why? Better at large fields or small?

And suggestions for us?

Alli

Good question me thinks Alli.......!!!!

Most of, what am I saying all of my B/Rs on various sites all come from a freeroll in one form or another, I did deposit $50 about 18months ago on AP done nearly all my $ down to my last few cents fairly quickly but I always vowed that I will only ever deposit once....so it seemed only right to become a "Freeroll whore".

AP is great, the initial pay out not that great......18 paid $1 10-8, then up 2 10 dollars for the winner.....however the top 5 are placed into Sunday's $1000 FR (there are easier ways to get into this I have now found but that involves buy-in MTTs).....so I have hit FT quite a few times in the FR and made the money a good few times in the $1000 FR (the win still eludes me $245 prize money 4 1st, not bad for a freeroll entry). So this all helped me continue to have a long term B/R on AP.

I like you cannot stand the prima FR's far, far to many people this would be the same as PokerStars the site I have always wanted a B/R on but their FR's have just to many damn people in them 8000 or 10000 (can't remember for sure) is just to many to long (all that said I will have a B/R on there after Friday nights wee game...lol)

Poker.com you need to register like lightning only 1000 seater's which is cool, but unless you have the screen open and you are ready to reg if you don't click as soon as reg opens....you aint playing.

PokerHost.com was a fav of mine...low turnouts and they also had a HU FR which was great fun.....but where to invest your cash on the site after you had won it was a bit pants....ring games and SNGs were a bit crap to say the least.

Poker4Ever just gets one big thumps up for me all round....just a shame I depleted my whole B/R on there prior to THF getting the games (wanna play Mars HU....at anything...lol).

VCPoker.....I like this site they give you $10 and 500 action points to start (used to buy-in MTTs with) the play in the ring games is a bit loose but the FR's are really good with a low turn-out.

I don't really play FR's nowadays as I don't have the patience for them as much as I used to (excluding THF ones) but I will play the limit holdem FR on AP as I am trying to learn this game and I have had quite a good showing in the 3 games I have played.

Freeroll's IMO are a great means to an end and a good way to learn the site and who knows win a FR and you may never need to deposit there.....I'm sure you can make a lot of money from starting in freerolls and find it a great education if you are just starting out in the game.

I play the freerolls at ultimate bet alot because I find their software to be very enjoyable to play on. Even thought they do not award cash in their freerolls they do award UB points and UB bonus cash. They also only have a 2000 player maximum which is cool too.

I agree Alli that the Junglepoker FRs seem a good deal at the moment. The omaha ones especially seem fairly easy right now. I've played a lot of AP frees in the past, made a fair amount of money- lost it again in ring games. I sometimes play those but not as often now.

The better deals seem to be the private freerolls. A search down the list of special/privates can be beneficial. Then just find the website and info. If you play a lot a freerolls, which I think is a great way of getting yourself practice and a bankroll, then there are sites such as pokerpotspoker.com, register post your scores and get password for various tourneys. I've done a little of this sometimes, it can be worthwhile but it does take time with registration/emails/verification/searching/blah blah and etc etc

if i play freerolls they tend to be the prima 1's.. but the only ones i really bother playing are the private forum ones.. since the fields are alot smaller. i dont really bother playing freerolls much as i dont have the patients sometimes to stick it out for a few dollars

I like the frequency of Pitbull's FRs. They start every hour and run 24x7. You can even find an occassional omaha FR. The field is only about 300 people. ( less late nite and in the afternoon) 1st for $15(they are actually rebuys so this can vary but few people opt to rebuy or addon), pays 18. I have been moneying for the minimum on about 2-3 of these a nite, I just cant seem to get over the hump and do well on a final table. Sigh

i have a great freeroll for all you to try. i dont know if i wanna tell ALL the members, as it will def increase the number of people playing, but i will anyways. Hold em poker is the exact same as pokerroom. and they have a lot less players. 500 dollar daily FR at 6. normal is around 800-900 people. takes a little over two hours. the top 40 are paid, but the realy money is at the final table.

Hi PNL

Was there a sign up for VC on here. I'd like to give the site a try and can't seem to locate the link.

Also, Anyone know of a Spades Lounge sign up through THF?
