anyone recently deposited?

I have tried all day to figure out how to make a deposit there with no luck. Yes, I know about the scandal. I am trying to withdraw my bankroll but AP says I'm no longer registered as a real money player and they have no record of my previous deposits.

In order to (re-)register you must also deposit money.

This has been my favorite site for years but I'm afraid I'd have to recommend anyone considering AP to run away like their ass was on fire and they were being chased by gasoline.

If you need to deposit try Paytru.com It's a debit card that you can use on most poker sites.

I was using PayTru and it worked great until recently when PokerStars announced to me it will know longer honor it..(I know there is another thread on this). I received this email from them 10/09/07

Dear payTru Member:

Please be advised that you will not be receiving a replacement card for your current payTru card once it has expired. Please examine the expiration date on your payTru card and check your balance at Welcome to payTru Card Website. Please plan the use of your card accordingly as it relates to point of sale purchases and ATM withdrawals. Remember that all transactions carry a nominal transaction fee which is deducted in real time, so please plan for this when performing your transaction(s).

Your card will not be accepted at merchants or ATM machines once it has expired.

This is not a result of your use of the card and does not effect your credit rating in any way. We will advise you in the future if there are changes to this policy.

Thank you for your membership patronage.

But Cat, didn’t you get the option of using echecks on pokerstars? You can still use the paytru card on the other sites.

Yes, and when I tried it wouldn't go through. I never did try payTru on other sites. Maybe before it expires I will and let you know what happens.

Echecks work fine for me on Stars. I havent tried Epassporte since I had all that trouble last time with them. First my CC worked then it didnt, then it did and then it didnt. They were having some technical issues with the site and said it should be fixed in a month. Too bad the sites cant sell merchandise because then they would have to take CC's. But I know there is a loophole with that too!

Epassporte is now working fine again. Although I do get a notice that I have used my card in another country.

Anytime I am asked for my personal bank information in connection to a deposit (which is what echecks did) I will get refused because my bank will not allow money to any gaming site. PayTru (VISA card) got around that by me depositing to them first and then I deposited to PS with the payTru card which allowed deposits at the time. PayTru is outside the US. I believe there is confusion as to whether it is your own bank that does not allow it or if it is a US player issue.

It is just a matter of time before someone comes up with another loop hole.
I do believe all financial institutions contributing to ways around depositing to gambling sites are pressured by the US government to stop the practice and most do.

My Visa worked the first 2 times but this time my bank had a block on AP. Interestingly enough, the night that I was denied the deposit, I got a phone call from Visa. The rep immediately went into this spiel about he needed to verify 3 pieces of my personal information in order to explain the nature of his call. Lol. I got his name, his supervisors name, and his phone number and extension. Then I told him that I did indeed attempt a transaction which was denied but all the facts he presented me about the transaction and my personal information were wrong. I apologized for being short with him but like I told him... the transaction was denied and that was the end of it. He asked if I would call my bank the next day and speak with them. I told him I would neither call my bank or Visa. I've had plenty of transactions that were denied in the past (my wife manages the account funds which often drop to 0 lol) and Visa never called before.

I had also started to open an Epassporte account but their sign up page generated a fatal error so I never completed registration. I am 90% certain that he was with them and was seeking to finish my sign up since they are affiliated with Visa. I might have been willing to do so but nobody calls me on the phone demanding to know personal information about me before they can tell me the purpose of their call. He said that was company policy. I said that when his company put me on the payroll and began paying my phone bill I'd be more than happy to abide by their rules but in the meantime it was my way or no way.

Reminds me of when Dillards kept calling, "Please let us send you an application for a Dillards card." I went through the 'remove me' and all that but the calls kept coming. Finally I said "Ok, send me the app." I never received the app or a card but I did get a credit card balance in the mail! We just threw it away but I told my wife we shoulda gone in and maxed that sucker out. When they started calling about their money I'd have said "Show me a signed contract and I'll happily pay this bill but otherwise there's been a mistake in your records, bye bye."

It sure would be nice to stick it to the people who are so desperately trying to stick it to you, at least every once in a while.
