Default Absolute Poker

I decided to give Absolute poker a try tonight because of their good deposit bonus. I read a few reviews of the site and was told the players are very loose and it's a good place to win money.

So, I cashed out $600 from my Ultimate Bet account and sat down at a $2/$4 table. I was soon up and was shocked by some of the play. It was amazingly loose and people were calling me down with bottom pair. That table then broke down so I moved.

The next $2/$4 table was bad beat city. The same bad players, calling the same bad hands but this time they all seemed to be hitting the river for straights, flushes, trips, 2 pair, higher full houses, you name it !!! I lost $100 pretty quickly.

I sat down at a $3/$6 table. Was possibly on tilt but I continued my tight / agreesive play.

The same happened. This time I went $120 down but managed to get it back to only $57 down.

In total including $10 I made from bonus I ended the night $147 down !!!!!

Close to my worst losing streak. As far as hands played it was definately my worst losing streak !!!

I'll give it another shot and hopefully next time they won't get as much luck. Just giving you all a heads up that it's very loose. In fact I think it's looser than Party which is saying something.

i was the same with superior poker

its very hard to play at tables where people dont respect raises - its more of a lottery if anything

are you gonna cash out or are you gonna grin and bear it and see if you can turn it around

well, I've found out today that for some reason I can connect to Absolute while I'm at work. Not sure how but hey, I'm not going to complain. The boss was out this morning so I've played about 150 hands this morning. It's quite quiet so I had to play short handed which isn't my favourite style although I feel I do ok at it.

Anyway, at one point I was $80 up and should've left. Would've been nice to wipe out over half my losses that quickly but I was getting gready and wanted $100. I was soon down by $20 !!!! People catching aces on the river, flushes, straights etc. Anyway, I made my way back and my boss walked back in when I was $37 up so I had to leave.

Was happy enough with that. Worked through another $10 of bonus too, so with that bonus I'm $100 down over 300 hands played and 2 sessions. Not great but I think if I can get through the bad beats I could make some serious money here. Or at the very least, I should be able to hold my bankroll and hopefully have a bit of bonus by the time I leave.

well, I thought I'd give an update at Absolute.

Today alone I'm $114 up including $20 in bonus and all this from only about 200 hands played at the $2/$4 limit tables !!!!!

By my reckoning without being able to look at my PT stats I'm now up about $270 with $70 of that being bonuses in 1 week of play. I think I'm averaging about 3 x BB's/100 hands at this site.

Now, I don't want to put a jinx on it but the play at this site is shockingly bad. Yes, I've been drawn out on and I seem to be swinging from 10xBB's up to 20xBB's down and then back up again because of the fish catching but overall they don't and I'm cleaning up. Add to that the bonus I'm working off and it's all looking rosey for the future at Absolute.

If this continues, I'm not sure what I'm going to do once I've worked off the bonus. It may be beneficial to stay playing there even without a bonus to chase !!!!!

fingers crossed they continue to call my raises and don't hit their miracle cards.

ive cashed $400 from party poker.

Im gonna take advantage of the sign up bonus at absolute - they have a low of different limits so im sure ill no have no probs finding a table.

so even if i just break even ill be walking away with a $140 profit - not too bad.

How many raked hands do you need to play to clear the bonus doc?
(im now breaking my own rule about not jumping sites too much - but i think the main problem the last time at inter poker was me playing at too high a limit for my bankroll. I should be fine if i stay at my usual limit)

I deposited $550 at Absolute and got 35% of that. I think it was something like $195.

Unfortunately, that post above, did put a little bit of a jinx on it but nothing too serious. I finished todays morning session $16 down but had $10 bonus so it's not too bad but yesterday I had a $78 losing session. In the end I was $80 for the day yesterday which I couldn't grumble about but should've been a lot more.

I also finished second for the second week running in the weekly European league tournament that I play there. I'll give you full details of my week on Sunday.

Fonz, you have to play 100 raked hands per $10. A think a raked hand consists of $1 rake but I'm not entirely sure. It's not too hard a bonus to get. They give it to you in $10 increments and you can see how much you've got left to work off and how many raked hands you've played in the cashier section.
